Tinubu’s CSU record: Peter Obi shuns Atiku’s invitation, reveals his next line of action
Atiku Abubakar asked Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, to join him in the legal battle against President Bola Tinubu’s academic credentials, but Peter Obi declined.
In a statement issued on Thursday and signed by the Labour Party spokeswoman, Obiora Ifoh, Obi claimed that he was concentrated on reclaiming his mandate before the Supreme Court.
The statement reads: “He (Obi) has been in the vanguard of ensuring a just nation where justice must be the watchword, and he will not stop until Nigeria achieves the leadership it truly deserves.
“Obi has pontificated severally on the need for leaders to be good role models and to live a life worthy of emulation. This he has done by publicly putting his credentials in the open for verification. Nigeria will get better when men of integrity and honour drive the affairs of the nation.
“We therefore welcome every other interest willing to join us in our pursuit of a nation where justice shall reign.”
In order to defeat President Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s contender for president in 2023, had already pleaded with the Labour Party and the NNPP’s Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso for their assistance.

According to the former vice president, many Nigerians look forward to them to protect the law. Atiku said it was a call for integrity on a national level and then extended the demand to traditional, religious, and political leaders.
Meanwhile, a recent study discovered that foreigners now perceive Nigerians as con artists. Segun Sowunmi, a leader in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and candidate for governor of Ogun State, revealed this.
He stated this during a live telecast of the Channels TV late-night programme, “Politics Today”.
