Senator Ali Ndume, Chief Whip of the Senate, has revealed that the presidential yacht contract listed in the supplementary budget has already been signed and delivered.
Ndume made this statement during an appearance on Arise TV on Friday, November 3.
The federal senator believes that the purchase of the contract by the APC administration is what necessitated its inclusion in the supplemental budget.
He said: “The deal has been signed and delivered, but not paid, and that’s what brought the inclusion of the amount (N5 billion) in the supplementary budget.”
Recall that President Tinubu’s N5 billion presidential yacht included in the supplementary budget was transferred to a student loan by the House of Representatives. Abubakar Bichi, the chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, disclosed this on Thursday, November 2, after lawmakers passed the N2.17 trillion supplementary budget.
