The Supreme Court has dismissed Mister Ladi Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s plea contesting Governor Dabo Abiodun’s election in Ogun State.
Adebutu’s appeal alleges that Governor Abiodun’s election did not follow electoral laws and that he did not receive a valid majority vote. As a result, he petitioned the court to overturn his victory.
However, on Friday, the supreme court dismissed the appeal for lack of merit, affirming Governor Abiodun’s election triumph.
