The Federal Government, FG, has named Mr. Uche Onyegbu as Acting Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Oko in Anambra.
This was announced on Saturday in a letter written by Mr. Omotayo Adeyemi, Director of Human Resources Management, Federal Ministry of Education.
According to News24 Nigeria, Onyegbu’s appointment comes after Dr. Franca Nwafulugo’s time as former Rector ended on February 2.
Onyegbu is well-known for his experience in both administration and academia, having worked as a secretary to four successive rectors for 17 years before deciding to teach.
Onyegbu holds a B.Sc, M.Sc, and MPA in Public Administration and is nearing the end of his doctoral degree, demonstrating a great commitment to academia and professional development.
He is a professional with affiliations in organizations such as the Nigeria Institute of Public Administrators (FNIPA), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), and Professional Secretaries of Nigeria (FPSN), among others.
His track record demonstrates his ability as a successful leader and educator, laying a good foundation for his current position as Acting Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Oko.
