President Tinubu jets out of Nigeria

On Thursday, February 15, President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to attend the 37th Ordinary Session of the African Union (AU) Heads of State and Government.

This year’s summit theme is ”Educate an African Fit for the 21st Century: Building Resilient Education Systems for Increased Access to Inclusive, Lifelong, Quality, and Relevant Learning in Africa.

According to Ajuri Ngelali, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, the President will attend high-level meetings on African Union institutional reforms, peace and security, specific thematic issues such as climate change, and the continental body’s participation and priorities in the G20.

Ngelali noted that, in addition to the summit, President Tinubu will attend an exceptional summit of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government in his capacity as the regional body’s Chairman.

He stated that President Tinubu will be joined on the trip by certain ministers and other key government officials, and that he is scheduled to return to Abuja after the meeting.
