JUST IN: Ibadan youths storm street, Protest against economic hardship

Residents of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, marched to the streets on Monday to protest rising food costs and the state of the economy.

Protestors gathered in the state’s Mokola region, carrying banners with messages such as ‘End food rise and inflation,’ ‘The poor are starving,’ and ‘Tinubu, don’t forget your promises,’ among others.

They were also chanting songs to express their discontent.

Armed police officers were visible at the protest scene.
