Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, has expressed her profound grief at Abdulraheem Owokoniran’s passing, stating that he was cut down too soon in life.
According to News24 Nigeria, Owokoniran, who ran for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket in the party’s most recent primary for the Surulere Federal Constituency I Bye-election in Lagos, passed away over the weekend in the United Kingdom.
In response to the passing, the First Lady on Saturday referred to the departed as a devoted and loyal young man in a post on her verified X handle.
“It was shocking to receive the news of the demise of Abdulraheem Owokoniran.
” Raheem was a dedicated and committed young man whose life was cut short in his prime.
” I pray God Almighty comfort his wife, children, entire family, friends, and the political community in Surulere, and Lagos State in general.
“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest. May his gentle soul rest in peace.”
