Philip Shaibu, Edo’s Deputy Governor, has been impeached.
His impeachment was declared on Monday, following the end of the sitting on Friday.
Shaibu had declined to attend the meeting, citing the ongoing legal proceedings.
On Thursday, the panel led by Justice S.A Omonuwa (retd.) granted Shaibu a last chance to appear the next day and justify why he should not be impeached.
