Championship: Iheanacho, Ndidi’s Leicester City return to Premier League

Leicester City were promoted to the Premier League on Friday, when Leeds United suffered a shocking 4-0 defeat against Queens Park Rangers.

Leicester City now lead the Championship with 94 points with two games remaining, while Leeds remain second with 90 points with only one game remaining.

Ipswich Town, in third position, has 89 points with three games remaining and may leapfrog Leeds for second automatic promotion.

Leicester City, led by Enzo Maresca, were promoted to the Premier League for the first time after being demoted last season after finishing third from bottom.

Their final two games are at Preston on Monday, followed by a home finale against Blackburn on May 4.

If Ipswich beat Hull on Saturday and Coventry win their game in hand on Tuesday, Leeds will drop out of the top two.

If Ipswich wins both, they will be promoted, whereas Leeds will have to go through the play-offs.

QPR won on Friday with goals from Ilias Chair, Lucas Andersen, Lyndon Dykes, and Sam Field, ensuring their survival in England’s second division.
