In a significant move to boost fuel supply across Nigeria, no fewer than 300 trucks from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) have arrived at the Dangote Refinery in preparation for petrol loading.
This was confirmed by NNPC spokesperson, Olufemi Soneye, who shared a video on his X handle on Saturday, detailing the company’s readiness to commence distribution.
According to Soneye, the trucks are set to begin loading petrol on Sunday, September 15, 2024, marking the next phase of fuel distribution from the Dangote Refinery. “By the end of today, at least 300 trucks will be stationed at the refinery’s fuel loading gantry,” Soneye confirmed.
This development highlights the ongoing efforts to stabilize fuel supply in Nigeria, with the Dangote Refinery playing a key role in reducing fuel importation and ensuring consistent distribution across the country.
